A Long Story Made Bearable

Once upon the 1990s there was a girl. J.

She was anxious, going through puberty, awkward, and shy.
When she started coming out of her shell she would say or do the wrong things.  She was lonely. And probably a little board.

  Then J. met H.

H. was the first person who actually seemed to like J. J. thought H. even looked up to her a little. J. might have had a crush on H.

After middle school J. and H. went to different high schools.  J. was lonely again.
and a bit board. She was interested in all sorts of things. But the internet hadn't happened for real yet.  J. was told to be a good girl and stick to school and the church and nothing else mattered.  J. was observant and didn't always like what she saw in those institutions.

One day J. was chatting on the phone M. a friend who went to the same school H. went to.  M. told J. that there was a guy, R., claiming to be a vampire.  J. was curious and arranged to talk to R.
 R. told J. fanciful stories that didn't really add up.  She wanted to believe he was a vampire because she could become one and maybe her anxiety would go away.  J. thought she could be good and not evil and still be a vampire.
The most important thing R. did was to give J. attention. J. always seemed to need attention.  R. and J.  would chat on the phone and plan to run away together.  J. wanted H. to come too. R. moved away to Kentucky for about a year. Their conversations dwindled and stopped until a couple of days before J.s birthday. R. was back. With friends.

On J.'s 16th birthday H. came to J.s window. It was time to go.  J.'s family was still awake. J. was scared. J. made plans with H. for them to get her in a little bit at the end of the road.  H. didn't come back.

J.'s mom, woken by a 6th sense to find J. and found her in the bushes at the end of the drive. J.'s mom tried to call H's mom but couldn't get through.  J's mom left J. to finish a book report on Edgar Allen Poe due the next day at school. J. fell asleep on her floor.  She woke up to her mom saying something horrible had happened.

 J. and her mom went back to H.'s house.  It was awful. When H. was at J.'s window R. and his friends had killed H.'s parents. They had took H. and ran. H. found out she was with murders of her own parents when she became upset that they had not picked J. up. The police found them a few days later.

There were trials. R. and his friends got jail. H. was found not guilty. J. answered the grand jury's questions.

 J. and H. Live far away from each other now. Sometimes they had even lost contact but when ever they are in touch they are instantly comfortable with one another. That is the end  of this long story. It isn't the end of the story.
